You may notice the terms nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) replacing continuing nursing education (CNE). This is primarily a change in terminology as directed by our accrediting body, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). This change is accepted by licensing boards and others who require proof of continuing education. Contact hours will continue to be the measure of credit earned. Generally, one hour of educational content equals one NCPD contact hour. The number of contact hours provided for each activity is detailed in the activity description.
ANAC is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
You may claim contact hours after viewing each activity in the HIV and Aging educational series. To claim contact hours, you must complete a brief evaluation and receive a passing score of 80% on the activity post-test. After receiving a passing score, a certificate will be generated for immediate download or printing. To access the evaluation and post-test, click on the purple Claim Contact Hours button that is located under each activity viewing panel.
If you do not need to obtain NCPD contact hours, you can obtain a certificate of attendance for each activity completed in the HIV and Aging educational series. To receive a certificate of attendance, you must complete a brief evaluation. After completing the evaluation, a certificate will be generated for immediate download or printing. To access the evaluation, click on the purple Certificate of Attendance button that is located under each activity viewing panel.
