Allison R. Webel, PhD, RN, FAAN

Dr. Webel is a Professor of Nursing and the Associate Dean for Research at the University of Washington School of Nursing. She received her BSN and BA at the Ohio State University, her MSN and PhD at the University of California, San Francisco and her Postdoctoral fellowship at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Webel’s program of research focuses on HIV symptom management and the social and behavioral determinants of healthy aging in people living with HIV, with an emphasis on nonpharmacolgoical strategies. Her work is been funded by the National Institute for Nursing Research, National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, National Institute of Aging, American Heart Association, and American Nurses Foundation. She is currently an Associate Editor at the Journal of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care.
